The data

The data served by the DataForNerds API is collected from publicly available documentation and data sources. You are free to use this data for any purpose (personal, commercial, or otherwise) provided you do not violate any rights of the original content owners.

Attribution to DataForNerds is appreciated but not required.

Accessing the data

Please access the data through the API at https://api.datafornerds.io. The API supports conditional requests via ETag and If-None-Match headers, which lets you poll efficiently without downloading unchanged data.

Caching

If you’re building an application that makes frequent requests, please cache the data locally. The API responses include Cache-Control headers (max-age=21600, stale-while-revalidate=86400) that most HTTP clients will respect automatically.

DataForNerds is a personal project without commercial backing. Responsible use helps keep it free and available for everyone.

Availability

DataForNerds is provided as-is with no warranty or service level agreement. Data collection runs daily, but outages, changes to source pages, or infrastructure issues may cause temporary gaps.
